Our First Training Program in Qatar!

 

CTLGroup-Qatar was pleased to organize its first concrete training program in Qatar. This two-days training course was delivered in collaboration with Public Work Authority (ASHGHAL) and American Society for Testing & Materials (ASTM).

​

The course was presented by Dr. Anthony Bentivegna (Laboratory Manager, CTL Group USA) and included an introduction to Concrete Materials, Properties of Concrete, Placement & Sampling Procedures and Concrete Fresh Property Testing. Upon Completion of course, attendees received a certificate accredited by American Society of Testing & Materials (ASTM).

Course attendees will receive a fast-paced, two-days program, developed especially for concrete industry personnel who need fundamental yet practical concrete knowledge. This course combines classroom instruction, lab demonstrations, and hands-on training to help employees meet customer needs. Course topics will include an Introduction to Concrete Materials, Properties of Concrete, Placement & Sampling Procedures, and Concrete Fresh Property Testing.

Dr. Anthony Bentivegna

Laboratory Manager, Materials Laboratory Services

Dr. Bentivegna specializes in the characterization and implementation of cementitious materials and the mitigation of premature deterioration due to concrete durability problems. Additionally, he is an expert in the investigation and mitigation of structures affected by alkali-silica reaction (ASR) and in the development and implementation of rapid repair cementitious systems, including calcium aluminate cement (CAC).

Dr. Anthony Bentivegna and a senior technician from CTLGroup-USA will work with course participants in practicing the ASTM test methods. They will demonstrate the test methods and review the procedures with participants. Each participant will be familiar with the test methods and have an opportunity to demonstrate the procedures
